All change

3rd April 2018 - Demolition progress: Pleased to say all the big disconnections that make the old hall safe have been now undertaken for the Electric and Gas, still awaiting BT to relocate the telephone wires.

Thanks to the Ratcliffe Trust for the grant of  £2,000.

On Friday 12th of January 2018 it was out with the old and in with the new as we officially opened our new hall.  The conversion from Broad Street Windows to Broad Street Meeting Hall is tremendous.  The new space was well received by Hall Users and ex-workers alike.

The plans to demolish the old hall are in progress ready for the new build to start.

On Saturday 1st July, we held our open day event to let the committee, hall users and community have a look around our new conversion.  Alan and Martin have worked wonders to create an outdoor space indoors.  it is really good and we cannot wait for it to officially open.  As soon as that happens we can start the demolition work on the old hall.  We are really looking forward to working with the hall community to create a great new hall atmosphere.

Please follow link to see images and video clips from the open day.

We are progressing well - we have been working hard on the conversion of Broad Street Windows so that it can be used as a temporary hall while we are building our new hall.  Scroll down to see how we are progressing and the poster about our open day.

The dream started 15 years ago but the work to reach this stage has taken over 3 years and we have pulled of an incredible feat that is unprecedented for small organizations in the area.
